Switching from Simple Online Pharmacy to HeMed

If you are currently with Simple Online Pharmacy, switching works the same way as from any other UK provider. Keep taking your current treatment as prescribed. A clinician reviews your health information and your current treatment first, and your HeMed plan is confirmed before anything changes.

How do I switch from Simple Online Pharmacy to HeMed?

  1. A man smiling at his phone at a cafe table

    Check

    Check your eligibility

Fill in a short set of online questions, including your current treatment.

  2. A man at home pressing the at-home blood collection device to his upper arm

    Test

    Take your blood test

Your baseline, included: a needle-free blood test done at home. On treatment within the last 2 months? It is your choice.

  3. A man lifting a white HeMed delivery box from his doormat

    Treat

    A clinician confirms your plan

They review your current treatment, your medical history and your results. If HeMed suits you, your plan builds on where you are.

What to have ready

  • Proof of your current prescription

With treatment in the last 2 months, it lets you make the baseline blood test your choice, or continue from a BMI of 23, subject to medical history and clinical review.

  • Your current treatment and dose, and how long you have been on it

Your clinician reviews where you are, including your current treatment and dose, and continues it where that is right for you.

  • The date of your last dose

Say in your eligibility check if there could be a gap before your HeMed plan is confirmed. Your clinician takes it into account.

No letter or referral from your current provider is needed. A HeMed clinician makes their own assessment.

Keep taking your current treatment as prescribed until your clinician confirms your plan.

How does leaving Simple Online Pharmacy work?

Simple Online Pharmacy publishes its own process for ending a plan and for getting a copy of your records. This is what its pages said when we checked them on 21 October 2026. Processes change, so check your account before you act.

Cancelling or pausing
Simple Online Pharmacy’s help centre says you cancel a Subscribe and Save plan yourself in the Members Area (Dashboard, then Active Subscription, then Cancel Active Subscription), and that changes must be made before the next payment is taken. Its own page says you can pause or cancel at any time without a fixed-term lock-in, and that cancelling does not stop an order already being prepared. Orders cannot be cancelled, changed or returned once placed; a full refund is made only if a consultation is not clinically approved, typically within 5 to 10 business days. Your account stays open after cancelling; closing it is a separate request by email. [3]
Your prescription record
Simple Online Pharmacy’s privacy notice gives a UK GDPR access route: send a description of the information you want to the contact details at the foot of the notice; proof of identity may be requested, and it aims to respond fully within one month. The format of the records is not stated. Separately, its help centre says a copy of a prescription can be generated on request if you quote your order number, and that your GP is notified of your treatment as a condition of using the service. [4]
Billing and timing
Simple Online Pharmacy’s help centre says the first payment is usually taken on day 26 of the first 28-day cycle and then every 28 days, with a reminder email seven days before each payment. You can move the next payment date or delay the next order by up to 14 days, and a due reassessment pauses the subscription until it is completed. [5]
Who to contact
Simple Online Pharmacy’s help centre lists a customer services email address (aiming to respond within 24 hours in working hours), a Submit a request form and an automated assistant; there is no live chat. [6]

HeMed has no connection with Simple Online Pharmacy. Your HeMed plan is confirmed before anything changes, so you can time the end of your current plan around that.

The blood test is the point

Some weight-loss services assess by questionnaire alone (review by the GPhC, the pharmacy regulator, April 2026). HeMed starts with a blood test. [2]

  • See what the scale can’t

Weight is one number. Your blood shows what’s underneath it: heart, liver, blood sugar and thyroid.

  • Treatment that fits your biology

Your clinician sees your baseline before confirming your plan. If you’ve chosen to skip the test, they see your prescription record instead.

  • What’s changing inside

Retests every 6 months show your markers side by side, so you and your clinician see what’s moving.

  • Easy, and included

Needle-free and done at home in minutes. Included in every plan, at the start and every 6 months.

What to ask any provider

Whoever you’re with, these are the questions worth asking. NICE recommends identifying the health conditions linked to weight at the start and reviewing regularly during treatment. [1] The pharmacy regulator expects independent verification, clear communication and accessible support from weight-management services. [2]

  • Is blood monitoring included in the price?

Yes: Retest every 6 months in every plan. A baseline test at the start, your choice if you’ve been on treatment within the last 2 months.

  • Does the price cover everything?

Yes: One monthly price: treatment, testing, delivery and clinical support. No add-ons.

  • Can you reach a clinician when you need one?

Yes: Registered clinicians review your care and are there for side effects and questions.

  • Is your plan built around your results?

Yes: Shaped by your blood work, not a fixed template. A retest every 6 months shows what’s changing.

The regulator has told prescribers to verify rather than rely on self-reported questionnaires. [2]

  • Is it built for men?

Yes: Designed around men’s health from the start: the markers we measure, the plan and the support.

Every plan, the same care included

  • Private assessment

  • Personalised care plan

  • Discreet packaging and delivery

  • Included at-home blood test every 6 months

  • Clinician review on every assessment

  • In-app check-ins and tracking

  • Included partner perks, health tips, recipes and more

From £59 per month

£59 for your first month on a 12-month plan (new customers), then from £114 a month. Billed every 28 or 30 days. Everything included.

Questions, asked and answered

Short answers to the common switching questions. For anything else, our support team can help.

Do I have to stop my current treatment while I switch?

Keep taking your current treatment as prescribed. A clinician reviews your health information and your current treatment first. They confirm your HeMed plan before anything changes.

Will I have to start from the beginning again?

No, not for the sake of it. Your clinician reviews where you are, including your current treatment and dose, and continues it where that is right for you. What suits you is a clinical decision.

Do I need a blood test if I’ve already had one elsewhere?

If you’ve been on treatment within the last 2 months, the baseline test is your choice. Your clinician can assess you from proof of your prescription and your medical history.

Otherwise your included baseline test gives your clinician current results to work from. A retest every 6 months then shows what’s changing.

What happens with my current subscription?

That’s between you and your current provider: check your notice period with them. Whatever the timing, don’t stop treatment before your clinician confirms your HeMed plan.

What’s included when I switch?

The same plan every member gets: your blood tests, clinical support for side effects and questions, in-app progress tracking, nutrition guidance and delivery, in one monthly price.

Can I switch to HeMed from Voy, Numan or another UK provider?

Yes. If you are currently with Voy, Numan, Juniper, Simple Online Pharmacy, Boots Online Doctor or Superdrug Online Doctor, switching works the same way. The same applies to any other UK provider.

Keep taking your current treatment as prescribed. A clinician reviews your health information and your current treatment first. They confirm your HeMed plan before anything changes.

Can I switch from a BMI of 23?

Yes, to continue treatment you’re already on. Eligibility to continue treatment from a BMI of 23 is subject to proof of prescription, medical history and clinical review. Treatment is prescribed only where clinically appropriate.

Know your numbers. Change them. See the difference.

HeMed starts with a blood test. Take the eligibility check and see if HeMed is right for you.
